Weaver Residence
Weaver Residence – Houston, Texas. A private client couple asked Arc Three Studio to design a contemporary home on an oddly shaped corner lot in Houston’s gentrified East End that would fit within the fabric of the neighborhood. The challenging site and the request for a courtyard feel gave us an opportunity to design a one-of-a-kind layout for this home. Three split level volumes are oriented on site to create three distinct courtyards and vary the user’s perception of space as one meanders through the home. Stepping up from the street level, you enter a low foyer space and guest wing. From there, you step down into a large open plan space that makes up the living, dining, and kitchen that overlooks the entertaining courtyard and pool before moving back into the private entrance of the master suite tucked furthest away from the street with a small private courtyard to the rear.
