|K|T|Green
|K|T| Green – Katy, TX. In 2024, Arc Three was invited to participate in a local design competition to envision a mix-use space that harmonizes contemporary architecture with authentic design elements reflective of the area’s rich history. Located in the heart of Old Katy, this retail project was conceived as a vibrant destination blending commerce and community. At the center of two differently scaled green spaces sits a bespoke, all-glass communal building, serving as a luminous gathering space for visitors throughout the day and evening. The west side green space is book-ended with a two-story mix use building, but lined with smaller scale dense retail for a more playful green space. The east side green space sits adjacent a large scale retail building inspired by historic silos and a striking canopy structure under which we envision a space for more populated community events. By prioritizing pedestrian space without the overcrowding of vehicles, it allows for a safer, slower pace of the shopping and dining experience blended with community events.
